Rere Āwhio – Journal of Applied Research & Practice is an interdisciplinary, open-access journal published by Otago Polytechnic Auckland International Campus that focuses on applied sustainability, innovation, systems thinking, digital transformation, and industry-connected research in Aotearoa New Zealand and internationally. For its upcoming Issue 6 (2026), the journal is accepting research articles, practice reports, short communications, and applied industry case studies up to 4,000 words until the submission deadline of 31 August 2026. Submissions—which undergo a peer review process with a target four-week turnaround—are particularly encouraged across Smart Sustainable Development (SSD) themes like AI, circular economy, and digital agriculture, as well as digital and sustainable construction. Manuscripts can be submitted in DOCX, PDF, or LaTeX format via editors@rereawhio.net under Editor-in-Chief Dr Lorraine Skelton, with accepted papers published on an online rolling basis ahead of a print edition in late November or early December 2026.
